In tonight’s Law & Order Organized Crime episode, the fentanyl lab bust was a big deal for the District Attorney’s Office. However, it wasn’t enough to sink the Los Santos cartel. They needed someone within the organization to be willing to testify. They believe they had that with Bryanna Pescador. Bryanna was once married to the good brother.

The one that did everything by the book. He even got an education. Then he died. Bryanna had enough to look after her two kids and she was doing fine until her brother-in-law wanted to take on more of a role in her family’s life. Carlo Pescador was the bad brother. He was the one that was running things for the Los Santos cartel.

Carlo was a scary man. He was also educated. He went to school as well as basic training from the CIA. He committed several atrocities before joining up with the cartel and that’s only made him scarier.

He’s been applying pressure on Bryanna since her husband died. He takes her kids randomly out of school for a day out with their fun uncle. Bryanna’s son Lucas realized what his uncle was doing and refused to be bought, but his sister Kiki was a fool. She didn’t mind their connection to the cartel. She wanted their uncle to take care of them because she wanted to be spoiled.

Kiki failed to see that sneaking her out of school was in fact a threat used against her mother. Bryanna realized that soon enough when she picked up her daughter.

Carlo came right out and questioned if she was still loyal. She swore that she was. Except her encounter with Carlo showed her that she couldn’t trust him. It was his behavior that pushed Bryanna into calling Detective Stabler. She wanted to testify against Carlo. She just needed some reassurances first. She wanted her kids to be protected.

Los Santos wasn’t going to go down easy. They would kill anyone that threatens them. Bryanna knew this and so she demanded protection. Sergeant Bell’s unit later showed up at her house.

They were going to stay with her until the FBI moves the family into the Witness Protection Program. Bryanna waited until the cops were at the house to tell her kids the plan. Lucas was on board. Kiki proved to be a problem. She didn’t want to leave school or her boyfriend. She complained the whole time. She also ended up calling her uncle and telling him everything.

Kiki didn’t understand that she signed her mother’s death warrant. Stabler had warned Jet that Kiki was going to be a problem, but he wasn’t there himself to oversee the situation. ADA Carisi didn’t want him risking his cover. Stabler was still undercover with people attached to the cartel. He needed to maintain that cover and not be seen with cops. Stabler therefore wasn’t there to keep Jet on task. Jet had taken Kiki’s phone and she didn’t know that Kiki had another phone. The one she used to call her uncle.

Kiki also overheard Stabler fighting with Carisi before he left. She knows that Stabler killed her father. She was an angry kid. She was lashing out and now more people were going to die.

All the while Stabler was at home with his family. They had a big family dinner. His brothers were there. His children were there. His grandchildren were even there. It was all supposed to be the final send off for his mom before she entered an assisted care home. And Stabler got to reconnect with his youngest brother.

They haven’t spoken since before Joesph Jr. joined the military. Joey had only done that because he wanted to be like his cool older brother except he saw things overseas.

Some things he didn’t want to be reminded of. Joey’s been back in New York for months now and he didn’t tell Stabler. He told Randall. Randall then told Stabler because he figured Joey could help pay for their mother’s care home. The Stablers were reconnecting when Kiki continued to be stupid. She hadn’t just called her uncle. She also called her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend almost got shot sneaking into her house. The cops figured out Kiki had another cell phone and so they went looking through it. Kiki was smart enough to erase her messages with her uncle.

Only that didn’t hold up after they ran a diagnostic on it. They knew she was sending messages to her uncle. They had just learned that information when the lights went off at the house. Then the gunshots rang out. Bell, Jet, and Bashir lost contact with the outside world. Reyes and their new techie called Stabler, but his brother had his phone.

Stabler’s family accused him of always letting work come first. He gave up the phone because he wanted to have family time only his mother finally remembered why she wanted to talk to Randall. She wanted to apologize in front of everyone for kicking him out of the house. Randall reported their father to internal affairs because their father was secretly beating his wife. Bernie had sided with her husband and she kicked out her son. And Stabler never knew because he was shielded by his mom from all the ugliness.

The family dinner had taken a turn after that. But Reyes called Stabler on his home phone. Stabler realized his team was in danger and he went rushing to Bryanna’s house. He helped stopped the assault on the house. He arrested Carlo. Then Lucas came down the stairs. Lucas had heard about Stabler killing his dad and so he tried to kill Stabler. He ended up shooting Bell before Stabler knocked him unconscious. They had to call for several ambulances. And Stabler ended up getting suspended pending an IA investigation because he fractured Lucas’s skull.

Lucas was a minor. The interim captain of their squad had wanted everything by the book. So, she suspended Stabler. Stabler was able to return home and finally having a meaningful conversation with Randall.

But it seems there was one more secret about their father that Randall was keeping.

THE END!
